Hello BS3! We are back. Simon and Sadie will be around for the next few weeks at least. OK, so it’s not quite as good as the real thing, BUT! there are lots of nice things we can do to help these weeks whizz by.
So we’re starting off with a blog. A proper one, not a flashy Insta one (not yet), just a simple place to come and find out what’s happening with BYC. Where we can tell you what we’ve been up to and where you can get some tips on things to do this week. I saw a heron flying over my road in BS3 this week, for example.
We’ll use this as a way of recording information, putting in links, tips and ideas and as a place for you to come back to if you get lost!
And if you have any ideas then let us know.
Last week I went in to see the old place. It was a bit weird.
This is the starting point to other media that we will be sharing with you over the coming weeks. Starting soon with a Bedminster Quizlet, where we’ll invite you to play a quiz with as many of us as possible playing at the small time.
Enough of me, here’s Sadie to say hello.
Ok, so I did THIS last week. It was very strange and a bit sad, but nice to be thinking of BYC.
Some good news.
Some of you will know I also work for a charity that redistributes food across the city to families in need who have young children. So I’ve been moving around the city this week and I’ve seen some really fascinating things. BUT really importantly, the food system is running very well at the moment. Food is being distributed to all supermarkets and shops, there are no major problems with certain items and you should be able to get most things if you are patient and don’t take more than you need. Funny deliveries have happened — we got milk from McDonalds today, steak from Miller and Cater ans lasagne from Bella Pasta. And we got these……massive chicken ‘sausages’.
Anyway, let us know how you are in the comments, and what you’ve been up to. I’m sure you have some creative ways of entertaining yourselves and your family.
We’ll be posting more soon and getting more interactive. Look out for more links and posts soon, Take care, Simon and Sadie. BYC for life!
